Full Time Adoption Social Worker Post:
Position:
This is a permanent full time post which would suit a candidate who has completed their Social Work training and has two years post qualifying experience in a statutory or voluntary family & child care setting. The post is ideal for someone wishing to work or begin working in the Charity, Community or Voluntary sector.
Main responsibilities of the role:
To provide new families for children in need of permanence through adoption by the provision of a professional assessment and placement service.
To provide ongoing post adoption support to adoptive families and children for as long as it is required.
To facilitate contact between adopted children and their birth families where that has been deemed appropriate.
To provide Social Work counselling and support services to birth family members who have lost a child to adoption.

This post has been funded by the Rank Foundation for a fixed term period of three years. It is an entry level position which would suit a candidate who has recently completed their qualification and/or is seeking experience in a Social Media/ Communications Post. The post is ideal for someone wishing to work or begin working in the Charity, Community and Voluntary sector.

Overall Purpose of Role
To support Family Care Adoption Services by employing effective media and communications activity. To promote the Family Care Adoption Services brand and the work it does across Northern Ireland by managing its social media channels, website content and digital advertising.
Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the day-to-day running of social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok etc) & social media advertising
Regularly update the Agency website with new digital output to engage the public and increase awareness of the Agency and its services.
Assist in creating a digital Marketing Plan and help in developing email marketing strategies.
Assist in organising, publicising and running Agency events as they occur.
Assist in representing Family Care by attending events and meetings where appropriate.
