If you are a birth parent whose child was adopted in the past, Family Care Adoption Services can offer you a supportive service.
While Birth families do not have the legal right to information about a birth child placed for adoption under current legislation in Northern Ireland, Family Care will assist you as far as is possible.

We have Social Workers who specialise in providing services to Adopted Adults and Birth Family members, and would be happy to hear from you.

‘Next Step’ is a counselling and support service jointly provided by Family Care Adoption Services and our partner agency Adoption Routes.
Next Step is available to those whose child or children have been placed for adoption in the recent past including Birth Parents, Siblings, Grandparents and other Birth Family members who have had a significant relationship with the child. Previous Foster Carers can also avail of the Next Step service.
