On Saturday 3rd May our Post Adoption Service hosted a Spring Event at Laganvale Farm, where our adoptive families gathered under beautiful sunny skies for a fun-filled day.
To begin, the children explored the indoor soft play area, burning off energy and playing with friends while their parents had the chance to relax and chat to each other in a friendly, supportive space.
A delicious lunch followed with juice, chicken goujons, mini sausages and criss cross fries for the children, and sandwiches, fruit platters tea and coffee for the adults (some of whom may also have enjoyed some criss cross fries!!).
After this welcome break, everyone headed out to explore the farm. The warm weather made it the perfect afternoon for meeting goats, alpacas, pigs and sheep; not forgetting the beautiful highland cows who really stole the show.
The children also enjoyed petting the rabbits, guinea pigs and chicks before racing around on pedal go-karts and digging in the huge sandpit, adding even more excitement to the day.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for our adoptive families to connect, share stories, and simply enjoy quality time together in a relaxed informal setting, creating lasting memories for all of the families and children who attended.
Family Care is committed to walking alongside our adoptive families on every step of their adoption journey; not just during assessment and placement but throughout their family life and we are looking forward to meeting all of our families again at our Summer event!
