On Sunday 17th August, we were delighted to host our annual summer event Post Adoption Family Day for our adopters and their children at the beautiful Streamvale Farm in Dundonald. We were lucky to enjoy a gorgeous, sunny day – perfect weather for exploring everything the farm had to offer!

The children had an unforgettable time engaging with the animals, with highlights including feeding the deer, meeting the farm’s many friendly residents and enjoying a fun-filled tractor ride around the grounds. Laughter, excitement and smiles were in abundance as families moved from one activity to the next, making happy memories together.

While the children explored and played, parents had the valuable opportunity to connect with one another in a relaxed and informal setting over lunch. Many took the chance to share their experiences and offer support – helping to strengthen a growing network of adoptive families who understand the unique journey that adoption brings.

The day was filled with warmth, connection and community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success. We’re already looking forward to our next gathering and can’t wait to see everyone again at our Christmas event later this year!
