We are Recruiting the Following Flexible Permanent Social Work posts for our Adoption & Post Adoption Services

                         22.5 hours per week (3 days equivalent)
                         30 hours per week (4 days equivalent)
                         37.5 hours per week (F/T).

The role would suit candidates who have completed their Social Work training and have at least two years post qualifying experience in a Statutory or Voluntary family/child care setting. Posts are ideal for candidates wishing to work or begin working in the Charity, Community or Voluntary sector in a flexible working pattern.

Main responsibilities of the role: 

To provide new families for children in need of permanence through adoption by the provision of a professional assessment and placement service.

To provide ongoing post adoption support to adoptive families and children for as long as it is required.

To facilitate contact between adopted children and their birth families where that has been deemed appropriate.

To provide Social Work counselling and support services to birth family members who have lost a child to adoption.

2. Full Time Social Media & Communications Officer

This post is funded by the Rank Foundation and is fixed term for 3 years

Main purposes of the role are:

To support Family Care Adoption Services by leading on the development and implementation of effective media and communications activity.

Responsible for development and day-to-day running of social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok etc)

Take the lead on social media advertising

Manage the website to engage the public and improve user experience.

Lead on creating and delivering Family Care Adoption Services digital output to boost engagement and brand awareness
